2. Trials

  • When the trial ends, backup and restore stop.
  • If you do not subscribe, your account and every backed-up file are deleted automatically after a grace period, currently 7 days after the trial ends. A daily job deletes accounts that are due, so deletion normally happens within a day of that date.
  • If you subscribe before then, nothing is deleted. Just before anything is removed, we check again that the account is still due for deletion.

3. How to delete your account

From Kestrel. When your trial has ended or your subscription is cancelled, Kestrel offers Cancel and delete my account. To confirm, you enter your password and authenticator code again and type your account email address.

By email. In any other situation, including during a trial, on a paid plan, or if you never finished setting up, email support@priusdatatechnologies.co.uk from your account's email address and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm your identity and complete the deletion within one month, and normally much sooner.

Organisations. An organisation's account owner can ask us to delete the organisation's account, with all its devices and data, in the same way. Individual devices can be removed from Aerie.

4. What deletion removes

Deletion happens in this order:

1. Backed-up files. Every stored version of every file is deleted from our storage provider. If this takes longer than one run, it continues automatically until storage is confirmed empty. 2. Sign-ins. Every sign-in for the account is deleted, including email addresses, passwords and authenticator records. 3. Account records. The account and everything attached to it are deleted: profile, licence and history, devices, organisation data, enrolment tokens, security information, messages, commands, the backup catalogue and plan requests.

The account is locked as soon as deletion starts. Deletion cannot be undone.

Afterwards we keep only a short deletion record: the account and licence identifiers, the licence number, the user identifiers, a one-way fingerprint (hash) of the email address, the reason for deletion, the dates, and how many stored file versions were removed. It does not contain your email address, name, company, device names, file names or file contents. We keep it for 6 years to show that the deletion took place and to prevent repeated free trials.

Copies of data may remain in our providers' backups for a short time until they are overwritten in their normal cycle.

5. On your computer

  • If you delete your account from inside Kestrel, Kestrel removes its local data folder (backup database, preferences, saved session, security database and logs) and starts its uninstaller. Your own files are not touched.
  • If your account is deleted automatically or by email, nothing on your computer is changed. You can uninstall Kestrel as normal.
  • Uninstalling Kestrel keeps your local Kestrel data folder (%APPDATA%\com.priusdata\pdtl), so that a reinstall knows what has already been backed up. You can delete that folder yourself.
  • On the computer, detailed security history is deleted after 30 days, and moment-to-moment readings after one hour. Kestrel's network service keeps its readings in memory only, for 10 minutes.

6. 3SETS

3SETS, PDTL's fitness app for iPhone, keeps your account, training, health data and media until you delete your account. You can do that at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, which removes the account and its data. Stories expire after 24 hours and gym check-ins after at most 3 hours. Full details are in the 3SETS Privacy Policy at https://3sets.co.uk/privacy-policy, or email support@3sets.co.uk.
