Cloud that scales. Data that stays where it should.

We design, migrate and run cloud platforms on AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud — with resilience engineered in and data held in the regions your obligations require.

Edge

  • CDN
  • WAF
  • DDoS

Compute

  • Containers
  • Serverless
  • Autoscaling

Data

  • PostgreSQL primary
  • Read replica
  • Object storage

Resilience

  • Immutable backups
  • Cross-region copy
  • Tested failover

Three things have to be true.

Everything below this is detail in service of them.

Build it right

An architecture that fits the load you have and the load you expect, defined in code so it can be rebuilt exactly.

  • Landing zones and guardrails
  • Environments from one definition
  • Costs visible from day one

Move it safely

Migrations planned in waves, rehearsed, and cut over with a way back if the numbers are wrong.

  • Assessment and wave plan
  • Change data capture for databases
  • Rehearsed, low-downtime cutover

Keep it running

Recovery objectives agreed in numbers and proven by rehearsal, with the monitoring to see trouble early.

  • Immutable, cross-region backups
  • Tested failover runbooks
  • Metrics, logs and traces in one place

What we do on the platform.

From the first account structure to the bill you pay at the end of the month.

  • Cloud architecture and landing zones

Multi-account and multi-subscription foundations, network segmentation, identity baselines, tagging and guardrails, defined in Terraform or Bicep rather than by hand.

  • Migration and modernisation

Assessment and wave planning, then rehost, replatform or refactor. Database migration with change data capture and rehearsed, low-downtime cutover.

  • Data platforms and engineering

PostgreSQL and SQL Server, analytical stores such as BigQuery, Snowflake and Synapse, batch and streaming pipelines, modelling and data quality checks.

  • Platform engineering and Kubernetes

EKS, AKS and GKE with GitOps delivery, autoscaling, secrets management, and golden paths so product teams ship without rebuilding the plumbing each time.

  • Backup, disaster recovery and resilience

Recovery objectives agreed in numbers, immutable object-lock backups, cross-region replication, and failover runbooks that are tested rather than assumed.

  • FinOps and observability

Cost allocation and rightsizing, committed-use planning, and OpenTelemetry-based metrics, logs and traces so spend and behaviour are both visible.

Your data, in the jurisdiction you are answerable to.

Residency is an architecture decision, not a checkbox: regions, keys, backups, logs and support access all have to line up. This is how we set them up in each of the three regions we work in.

United Kingdom & Europe

London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam

Framework

  • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  • EU GDPR
  • NIS2 for essential and important entities
  • DORA for financial services

How we build for it

  • Data and backups pinned to in-region storage
  • Encryption keys created and held in region
  • Transfers covered by the UK IDTA or standard contractual clauses
  • Records of processing and DPIA evidence produced from the platform

United States

US East (Virginia, Ohio), US Central (Texas, Iowa), US West (Oregon, California)

Framework

  • SOC 2 control expectations
  • HIPAA for protected health information
  • CCPA and CPRA
  • FedRAMP-authorised regions for public sector

How we build for it

  • Provider business associate agreements where health data is processed
  • Separate accounts and keys per environment and per data class
  • Immutable audit logging retained to policy
  • Regional isolation so US data does not leave US regions

India

Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Delhi NCR

Framework

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023
  • RBI storage of payment system data in India
  • CERT-In directions: incident reporting within six hours, logs kept 180 days in India
  • MeitY-empanelled cloud for government workloads

How we build for it

  • Primary and standby regions both inside India where localisation applies
  • Log retention in-country, with time synchronised to NPL or NIC sources
  • Consent and purpose captured in the data model, not bolted on
  • Defined breach-notification path with named responders

PDTL engineers systems to the requirements your legal and compliance advisers set. We do not give legal advice, certify compliance or act as an auditor.

Resilience, in numbers you agree to.

Backup is not a product you buy; it is a target you meet. We start from the loss and downtime your business can absorb and engineer backwards from there.

  • Recovery point objective

How much data you can afford to lose, expressed in minutes, then engineered: replication intervals, transaction log shipping and backup frequency set to meet it.

  • Recovery time objective

How long you can afford to be down, then engineered: warm standby, infrastructure as code that rebuilds an environment, and a runbook anyone on call can follow.

  • Immutable backups

Object-lock retention so a compromised account, or ransomware, cannot delete or encrypt the copies you will need.

  • Cross-region copies

A second region holding backups and, where the objective demands it, a standby of the platform itself.

  • Tested restores

Scheduled restore rehearsals into a clean environment, timed and recorded, because an untested backup is only a hope.

  • Runbooks and ownership

Documented failover and failback, with named owners, so recovery does not depend on one person's memory.

Let's look at your platform.

Migration, a cost that has run away, a recovery plan nobody has tested, or a new system that has to hold data in three countries. Start with a conversation.
